Grace and Justice on Death Row
The worship services on June 19 featured a moving discussion with Aldersgate member Brian Stolarz, exonerated former Death Row inmate Dewayne Brown, and Jason Micheli. Dewayne Brown was on death row in Texas when Brian Stolarz agreed to handle the appeal of his death sentence. For six years Brian visited Brown in prison and sought the evidence that prove his innocence. In 2013 a crucial piece of evidence was found. Brown was freed in 2015. Along the way, Brian and Dewayne became friends.

Brian Stolarz has written a book about the case, Grace and Justice on Death Row: The Race against Time and Texas to Free an Innocent Man, which will be released in October.
