Working with Native Communities:
A Cultural Orientation

Sunday, March 19, 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Please join us for an informative and insightful workshop on how to work effectively with Native Communities. The four-hour workshop, sponsored by Highland Support Project and facilitated by White Mountain Apache member Rochelle Lacapa, includes a light lunch and refreshments. There is a $10 fee.

Rochelle Lecappa of the White Mountain Apache Tribe will be presenting about the history, culture, and current issues with Native American communities in the South West of the United States, including tribal sovereignty, culturally appropriate partnerships, and opportunities to partner with tribal programs. Ms. Lecappa holds a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and is the current program consultant for the Highland Support Project.

This will be a very informative time for all who work on our Guatemala and White Mountain Apache projects.
