Aldersgate’s Inclement Weather Policy
Aldersgate Church is closed today, Tuesday, March 14. All activities are cancelled.
If Fairfax County Public Schools are closed, no children’s or youth groups (at all) will meet at the church.
If Fairfax County Government closes, the church is closed and all activities are cancelled.
Otherwise,
Adult groups may meet at the leaders’ discretion. If you do not hear about what your group plans to do, please contact your leader directly.
Because the pastor lives close by, he will hold worship each weekend. However, your personal safety is important to us. The pastors and group leaders will understand completely if you do not feel comfortable coming to the church when weather conditions are questionable.
In the event of severe weather conditions or a power outage, the church may be closed or may modify its schedule. If possible, messages will be posted on the home page of the website and a mass email will be sent out. Messages also will be posted on Facebook and Twitter. If on a weekend, the media may be contacted as well.
(If the power is out, our phone and computer systems shut down. If the phone rings and rings and the system never picks up, we have no power!)
Update #1: Evening activities have been cancelled at Fairfax County Public Schools. However, no children’s activities are scheduled at Aldersgate this evening.
Update #2: All Tuesday Wellness classes cancelled.
Update #3: Fairfax County Schools will be closed Tuesday. The Day School will be closed. All children and youth groups cancelled.
