Musical Theatre Camp: Once Upon A Mattress
July 24-28, 12:30-3:30 p.m. (Monday – Thursday), 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (Friday)

ACCT and Aldersgate Children’s Ministry are pleased to present another Musical Theater Camp! Featuring Aldersgate’s own Children’s Music director Karli Eddinger and experienced theater teacher Shelagh Roberts, ACCT invites you to perform songs and excerpts from the musical, “Once Upon A Mattress.” A fun, modified version of this popular classic with music by Mary Rodgers, “Once Upon a Mattress” is the popular retelling of the story of “The Princess and The Pea.” Campers will perform musical numbers and short scenes from this light-hearted, comedic romp full of royal castle intrigue and great comedic scenes for boys and girls alike. Did you know that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that, in fact, it wasn’t the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? After this musical theatre camp, which culminates in a final showcase, chances are you’ll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again!

One week, 12:30-3:30 Monday-Thursday and 9:30-3:30 on Friday with a 2:30 showcase! $125 per camper.

Registration is closed.

Musical Theatre Camp: Godspell
July 31-August 4, 12:30-3:30 p.m. (Monday – Thursday), 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (Friday)

Children will have the opportunity to work with Aldersgate staff member Karli Eddinger and FCPS theater teacher Elizabeth Ferrante to learn musical theater skills as they perform excerpts from “Godspell.” With music by Stephen Schwartz, children can learn some of the parables of Matthew and Luke with modern music using lyrics from traditional hymns. This is a great way for children to continue to develop their knowledge of biblical stories, learn acting and singing techniques and have a great time!

Boys and girls, rising 3rd-7th grade, are welcome to enroll. $125 per student.
